Optical filters is a device that selectively transmits or rejects a wavelength or range of wavelengths. Different types of optical filters based on mechanisms of operation include absorptive filters and interference or dichroic filters. There are three types of optical filters: shortpass filters, longpass filters, and bandpass filters.
