Reliance Launches Its Maiden Android Powered JioBook

Indian multinational company Reliance launched its first JioBook last October priced at around US$ 183.

The JioBook aims to capture the market for the students, educators and for those who are at the basic entry level. Thus, priced very reasonably to be in the loop. The JioBook is developed in partnership with Mirosoft and it runs on JioOS operating system.

The packaging of JioBook includes a charger, manual reader, the laptop JioBook and one year warranty card. The JioBook is very simply designed with a velvet finish. The JioBook comes in only blue color variant with a magnesium alloy body. It is very light in weight and has rubberized leg. It gives a very sleek and well-built look. On the left side is the mini-HDMI, a USB type-A and the power port. On the right hand side, there is a SD card slot, an USB type-A and a 3.5mm jack. The stereo speakers are at the bottom. The keyboard gives us a very compact look. The track pad is also decent in size, but no fingerprint scanner. LED lights are on the top for the purpose of switching ON/OFF.

Specification of JioBook – The display panel is 11.6-inch with 1377* 768 resolution. It has 2MP web camera. The laptop has 2GB of RAM and internal storage capacity is 32GB. It has expandable storage capacity up to 128GB. It is supported by the Qualcom Snapdragon 5chipset that is paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The 5000Ah battery is claimed to run over 8hours in a day. The laptop has built-in 4G LTE connectivity and also a built SIM card which helps in 24*7 internet access. The buyer needs to visit the nearest Reliance Jio store for KYC documentation and SIM card activation.
