Razer's Smart Glasses Are Similar To Echo Frames, Which Filters Blue Light

The new trend going on in the glasses industry are the glasses that double as headphones and the first company to start this trend was Bose when they launched their product in 2019 which was followed by Amazon’s launch Echo Frames in 2020.

When a new trend gets successful in the market many companies jump in the trend to earn profit as the early comers in the market. So, the next big company to follow this trend is Razer. The company has announced that in addition to the feature of audio in the frames, the glasses will also filter out blue light. The company further announced that the name of the product would be Anzu. The product are now available with the starting price of US$ 200 which is US$ 50 less than Amazon’s Echo Frames.

The key difference between Echo Frames and Anzu is that Echo Frames can provide prescription glasses and clear glasses but it cannot filter the sun or blue light. This key difference will be a selling point for the Anzu brand. The frame can be connected to the devices with the help of Bluetooth. Some of the features that Anzu will offer are the frame shape could be selected by the customer and can range from round to rectangular. It can also fit lenses that can turn into sunglasses. To control the music, touch controls are provided in the panel and the company stated that the battery life would be more than 5 hours and it can last up to 2 weeks, if there is inactivity. Also, the glasses are splash proof which will save the frame in rain but it cannot be used in swimming pools and will have a high risk of getting damaged. The glasses will come with replacement sunglass lenses, carrying case and USB-A charging cord.
