Ford Motors Launches Endeavour Sport in India

The Sport variant is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine and is paired with a ten-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

On September 22, Ford launched the Endeavour Sport in the Indian market at US$ 47693.14 (Rs 35.10 lakh). The new Sport variant is based on the Titanium+ 4x4 trim and gets a raft of cosmetic changes to the exterior than the standard variant. The Endeavour Sport gets new smoked headlamps, revised black grille with a honeycomb pattern, and a black-finished skid plate, as well as the chrome detailing has also been darkened. Moreover, the alloy wheels, wing mirrors, fender vents, and roof rails are also finished in black.

The tailgate features a new Sport badge. However, there is no significant change in the interior, the dual-tone, beige-and-grey interiors continue as before. The Sport variant features an LED headlamps, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, hands-free parking and tailgate opening, Ford's Terrain Management system, panoramic sunroof, and more. Moreover, the SUV comes with standard safety features such as seven airbags, traction control, Electronic Stability Control, hill descent control, tire pressure monitor, and more.

The Endeavour Sport is powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 170 hp of power and 420 Nm of peak torque. The diesel unit is paired with a ten-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and a four-wheel-drive system as standard. The Endeavour Sport will compete against the Mahindra Alturas and the Toyota Fortuner. The Endeavour Sport sits in a similar role as the Fortuner TRD Limited Edition. In August 2020, Toyota launched the Fortuner TRD Limited Edition in India at US$ 46670.07 for the 4x2 diesel-automatic, and US$ 49205.04 for the 4x4 diesel-automatic variant. The Endeavour Sport will be the new top-trim variant in the Endeavour line-up. The SUV is available in three color options such as Diamond White, Diffused Silver, and Absolute Black.
