CeraVe is facing huge demand in the market for its moisturizing cream formula and hence has become one of the fastest-growing cosmetics brands.
This year while many other brands have failed to boost their profit margins, CeraVe's moisturizing cream has reached its epitome of success. The packaging is very plain and the name is a little tricky to pronounce, but this has not hindered the booming market demand for CeraVe.
15 years ago CeraVe co-developed this moisturizing formula to tackle dry skin, with American dermatologists and overnight it took the social media by surprise mainly due to influencers. According to L’Oréal’s chairman and chief executive officer, Jean-Paul Argon, the brand is getting all the popular reviews worldwide.
CeraVe's sales profit in the first half of the year notched up to 82% and created such a huge demand that the products got sold out only in certain markets. According to analysts, by the end of 2020, CeraVe will be accumulating US$ 600 million in revenue.
When compared with all the other beauty products, dermo-cosmetic products have always been the talk of the market in terms of demand. CeraVe's plain labeling which highlights only the benefits of healthy skin, is the main factor responsible for the huge demand.
World's top-class dermatologists have given the nod of approval to CeraVe and will be recommending it to patients soon. Hyram Yarbro, a skin expert, and an influencer has talked about CeraVe in vlogs on YouTube and TikTok. Apart from moisturizers, CeraVe also produces cleansers, sunscreens, ointments, and a range of baby care products. The prices ranges from €5 to €25. According to L’Oréal, CeraVe is the fastest-growing skincare brand in the U.S. market.
Tom Allison, one of CeraVe's co-founders created a Twitter account just a year ago to be in direct contact with medical professionals and customers. Today he has almost 400,000 followers and has been tagged as a verified influencer. CeraVe is now planning to collaborate with more skin-care influencers, which can give the brand more exposure.
